CURRENT POSITIONS

Quality Control & Assurance Manager

Location: Masham HG4 4JB & Dalton YO7 3SS

About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control & Assurance Manager to lead the Quality function across our feed manufacturing operations. Reporting as part of the site management team, you will ensure raw materials, production processes, and finished products consistently meet customer, regulatory, and company standards.

This is a key leadership role, responsible for maintaining compliance with UFAS, HACCP, Feed Hygiene Regulations, and industry best practices while driving continuous improvement in product quality, safety, and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Quality Assurance department across multiple sites.

  • Maintain and improve Quality Management Systems, policies, procedures, and specifications.

  • Ensure compliance with UFAS, HACCP, Feed Hygiene Regulations, and other relevant standards.

  • Manage supplier assurance, product specifications, testing programmes, and laboratory oversight.

  • Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions where required.

  • Lead customer, regulatory, and third-party audits, acting as the primary quality contact.

  • Monitor critical control points, traceability systems, and product release processes.

  • Deliver quality, hygiene, and feed safety training to staff.

  • Manage the department budget and provide quality performance reporting to senior management.

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience in a quality management role within feed manufacturing, food production, or a similar regulated industry.

  • Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and quality management systems.

  • Experience managing audits and regulatory compliance.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Budget management and commercial awareness

Desirable:

  • Experience with UFAS, Beta NOPS, FEMAS, or GMP+ standards.

  • Background in Agriculture, Animal Nutrition, or Food Science.

  • Internal or Lead Auditor qualification.

  • Experience of laboratory testing and feed production processes.

HGV Drivers - Full-Time / Part Time / Relief / Weekend / Twilight

Location: Dalton, Thirsk YO7 3SS

About the role:

The role is for HGV drivers to join the fleet working from Dalton, near Thirsk. The primary responsibility is to transport goods to customers, while ensuring compliance with all regulations regarding drivers' hours and working time directives. The driver will be the "face of the Business," upholding the company's high standards of customer service.

Our drivers primarily work daytime shifts. However, we are also keen to hear from candidates who are available for twilight shifts (late afternoon/evening) and weekend work. If you are looking for flexible hours or additional shifts outside of standard daytime schedules, please indicate your availability when applying.

About you:

The ideal candidate must have:

  • A valid HGV Class 1 or Class 2 license.

  • A CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.

  • Proven experience as an HGV driver.

  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.

  • Excellent time-management skills and attention to detail.

  • A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
