OUR SENIOR TEAM

  • Chris I’Anson

    CHAIRMAN

Unsurprisingly, Chris I’Anson has spent his whole life involved with the family firm in some way. After formally joining the business in 1978, Chris spent 15 years working his way up through the company before becoming Managing Director in 1993.

As part of his role, Chris not only oversees the business and supports the managers but also takes a hands-on approach, walking the floor on a regular basis. Splitting his time evenly between day-to-day management and strategic planning for the future, Chris particularly enjoys working in research and development on innovative new products and processes.

Quick to note that its success is very much a team effort, Chris is immensely proud of the company and prides himself on the quality of the products and service it delivers.

A fourth generation I’Anson with the business in his DNA, Chris finds it particularly rewarding to be carrying on the family tradition.

Outside of work, Chris is a keen ultra marathon runner and in 2016 participated in the Great North Run for the 20th time. In addition Chris researches local and his family history.
