A very well-earned retirement for Kevin Jones
A huge thank you to Kevin Jones as he heads into a very well-earned retirement - after almost 40 years of service.
Kev’s journey with I’Anson Bros began before his continuous employment in 1990 - and over the decades, he has become a true cornerstone of the Micronizing business. His dedication, knowledge, and steady presence have played a huge part in shaping not only our micronizing operation, but the wider team around him.
Known as a true micronizing master, Kev hasn’t just done the job - he’s defined it. In fact, he is likely to be the longest-serving micronizing operator in the world, an incredible achievement and a testament to his skill, consistency, and commitment to doing things properly, ensuring our products are the best quality that they can be, day in and day out.
Alongside this, for the last few years, Kev successfully managed our Melmerby site, dispatching our world-leading Speedi-beet to over 40 countries worldwide. He’s been a brilliant team player throughout -someone people could rely on, learn from, and enjoy working alongside.
His career has also seen some special moments, including the unforgettable honour of meeting The Queen as part of our Queen’s Award for Innovation - a proud milestone in an already remarkable journey.
From mastering the Micronizing process to representing the business on such a prestigious stage… Kev’s story is one of dedication, pride, and quiet excellence.
We’re incredibly grateful for everything he has given to I’Anson Bros over the years.
Thank you, Kev - for the hard work, the knowledge, the humour, and the legacy you leave behind. It’s been great to work together.
Wishing you all the very best in retirement (and plenty more time on the golf course!)
